The Mail on Sunday "You" Magazine
featured Mo . In an article entitled "Mo's Easy Pleasures". They
said "it is a housewife from Bisley in Gloucestershire who is
set to rival glamour cooks Nigella, Jamie et al. What's more remarkable
is that she conceived and published the books all by herself."
During 2008
Lazy Cook recipes were featured in the WI Life magazine.
Mo demonstrated some of her ‘From Plot to Pot’ newly created Lazy
Cook vegetable recipes at the Stroud Food Festival
In January 2009 as part of the Gloucestershire County Council
Zero Waste Challenge Week a ‘Lazy Cook’s Soup Kitchen’ was part
of the Bisley contribution – Bisley being the first village in Gloucestershire
to stage a Zero Waste week.
Mo broadcasts regularly on BBC
Radio Gloucestershire - where she shares recipes and Lazy Cook
tips - "The recipes are designed for living in this new century;
recipes to give inspiration to people who enjoy cooking but feel
they don't have time any more; recipes to give ideas and encouragement
to those who fear complicated recipes and lack the confidence to
have a go" says Mo.
Mo also appeared on Channel 5's Open House with Gloria
Hunniford.
Lazy Cook recipes are regularly featured in newspapers and magazines
throughout Gloucestershire and the South West
The Lazy Cook's fame is rapidly spreading beyond Bisley
with interest from newspapers, magazines, radio and TV. BBC Gloucestershire
says "Lazy Cook Mo Smith wins the hearts and stomachs of the county
Passionate about ingredients and healthy eating Mo's success at
writing, publishing and marketing her books (sales of over 18,000),
has meant that much of her time is now spent away from the cooker
and at the computer, hence the quicker and lazier than ever recipes
created for this book.
An experienced broadcaster, public speaker, relaxed and natural
in front of TV cameras, Mo's philosophy is to promote healthy eating
and to steer people away from ready made meals by passing on her
unique cooking skills to everyone. Mo says, "I feel cheated if it
takes me longer than 15-20mins to get a meal into the oven and leave
it to cook while I relax - that is what Lazy Cooking is all about"
