Entertaining the kids this summer holiday
With the
summer holidays fast approaching you may be stuck for ideas as to
how
to entertain the kids ... without spending too much money! Well
Lazy
Cook Mo Smith has the answer - go back to basics and have
some fun in the
kitchen with the kids. Mo Smith's latest book 'The Lazy Cook's
Favourite Food' has a
special section on cooking
for children.
Mo Smith's Lazy Cook recipes are quick and easy,
creative, and fun to make;
they encourage healthy eating and can
be enjoyed by all the family.
Lazy Cook Mo Smith comments 'As
a cook, I can think of no better way of
bonding with children than
introducing them to cooking - getting them away from the TV and into
the kitchen. When little fingers set to work on the ingredients the
concentration is a joy to behold even though the tasting can be
something
else!'
Make a batch of choux paste (as easy as
making custard). Let the kids
spoon it out on to baking trays then
sit them in front of the oven to watch
them rise and cook. Fill
the made choux with savoury or sweet fillings then all sit
round
the table and eat and giggle together.
You
can find this and many more recipes in Mo Smith's latest book 'The
Lazy
Cook's Favourite Food' which is on special offer during July
and August. To
